With the start of the New Year many of us are filled with good intentions for recovering fitness. What better way to achieve this than to train for and participate in this year's Rotary Easter Quarter Marathon Race held by Bournemouth East Cliff Rotary Club on Easter Saturday 22 March 2008. The race will start to the east of Boscombe Pier at 3pm.

Please can I ask you to help my Rotary Club to find runners for the race. Most of us will know individual runners who may like to take part. You may like to run personally! or you may be able to suggest a company team entry. This year we are trying to engender healthy competition between local businesses by having company team entries (five in each team) with prizes to the first male, female and mixed company team home.

Please pass on to any potential runners or complete a copy of the entry form. If there is any further information that you need please let me know. The Rotary Easter Quarter Marathon is recognised as part of the Dorset Road Race League series. There are many good reasons to enter!:-

•  25th year of the event being staged

•  spectacular course

•  well reviewed in previous years

•  open to club runners and non club runners

•  pre London Marathon pace race

•  for local runners of various standards

•  to engender healthy competition in local businesses

•  to support local charities

•  to do good for yourself and also for others!
