Services
There are a number a Committees in Rotary.
This is what the Community Services Committee is doing:
The Community Service Committee of Bournemouth East Cliff Rotary Club have been involved with projects in the local area, raising money and donating funds to worthy causes over recent times.
We have been involved with a Matching Grant in conjunction with the Salvation Army to facilitate the refurbishment of a much needed meeting house for the local community in Boscombe. This has been well received by those on little or no income.
We have distributed free of charge low energy light bulbs that have been donated by EDF Energy to those who are also on little or no income.
We have recommended donating money to various charities which include Prostate Cancer Research, Royal National Institute for the Blind and Bournemouth Citizens Advice Bureau.
We organise and take part in various events during the year which include ‘Kids Out' a charitable cause providing a day out to Paultons Park for children with special needs, collecting funds during the summer months by organising parking for the Fireworks Nights at Bournemouth Pier and running a Quiz once a year that helps raise money for local charities. |
